Postpartum Rehab Weekly Planner.pdf

This program is an 8-week Return to Pelvic Floor and Core Function for any postpartum woman (vaginal or c-section). This program is generally safe to begin week one postpartum in bed.

Please remember every postpartum body is different and you should go over this program with your doctor prior to performing and make sure you are following your doctor’s guidelines as well as listening to your body and not pushing yourself through something that does not feel right or causes pain. New Wave Fit does not give or replace medical advice. It is also important to note that some women may need more practice in releasing/lengthening the pelvic floor. This program does not implement stretching with lengthening the pelvic floor until week 8, therefore you want to make sure you practice lengthening and relaxing your pelvic floor with your breathing exercises. I always suggest seeing a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist after giving birth, especially if you are experiencing any increased pain with exercise, loss of bladder or bowel control, feelings of pelvic pressure, or if you had significant tearing (3rd or 4th degree) during birth.

You should always consult your doctor or health care professional before beginning any exercise program. Every person is different, and your doctor or health care professional knows what is best for your specific circumstances; the information we provide on our website assumes that you have the approval of your doctor or health care professional, are in good physical and mental health, and that you are without risk factors or complications. Our website and online platform content is for informational purposes only and it is not intended to offer medical advice, diagnose any medical condition, treat any medical condition, or replace the advice of recommendations of your doctor or health care professional. Again, always consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program in order that you understand just how our programs may affect you, your health, and your baby.
